Outreach

At CHO, we’ve been at the forefront of research and development, employing cutting-edge technologies to create emotionally immersive digital experiences. Our current projects are a testament to this commitment, with the ‘Talk to Sarai’ AR/VR experience breathing life into the past by artfully retelling the stories of prominent Kurdish figures. Simultaneously, the ‘Feel Like Me’ project offers a profound exploration, allowing users to intimately experience the pain and discrimination faced by the Yazidis. These endeavors go beyond conventional boundaries, pushing the limits of VR/AR experiences. As we continuously strive to preserve Kurdish culture, our projects also serve as a platform to shed light on pressing societal issues.

Capacity Building

At CHO, we are committed to empowering youth through providing technical training. Our organization has Delivered (Co-delivered) numerous seminars, workshops and webinars, strategically designed to cultivate the skills essential for the digital era. Presently, we are spearheading a pilot-certified internship program, a hands-on, project-based initiative that engages interdisciplinary teams across Iraq. Tailored for young adults, university students, and graduates with an interest or potential in digital cultural heritage, our internship is a comprehensive learning experience. Focused on imparting technical, social, and business skills, we aim to equip the youth with the tools necessary for digital reconstruction, preservation, and interpretation of their cultural heritage.

Outreach

At CHO, our commitment to community engagement spans diverse realms, from cultural and technological events to academic institutions. Actively participating in over 30 events, including renowned showcases like BIT Festival, Hitex, and Tech Fest, we spotlight projects where technology converges with culture. Our presence at events celebrating Kurdish culture, like Sulaimani Day Festival, reflects our dedication to heritage preservation.

Our impact extends into educational institutions, including universities and institutes, and broader tech and cultural festivals. Through these initiatives, we’ve successfully reached over 8000 individuals. This outreach, embracing universities, institutes, and diverse festivals, is amplified by collaborations with 34 esteemed partners—both local and international—contributing to the resonance and success of our projects.
